Your Insights
This month's card says "play inside your dreams". We invite you to post your interpretation of its meaning, your experiences integrating its concept into your daily life, etc.
Manifesting Your Heart's Desires
“Be careful what you wish for.”
At one time or another we all have heard these words spoken to us in response to some dream we’ve expressed. Often those words were spoken by an elder and we quickly dismissed them, certain they were not spoken from a place of love and support, but for the purpose of some other agenda. Sometimes things worked out for us, sometimes not so much.
Today those words, “Be careful what you wish for”, have particular importance because we have become aware of the principles of manifestation from a larger vantage point. As a result, “chance” is no longer an acceptable excuse for our disappointments. The knowledge we have gained in our search for greater meaning and purpose has awakened us to our role in the experiences we have—for better or worse. We now understand that if we are not fully aware of how we project our wishes /desires or the actions we take, disappointment is a likely outcome. Our new found knowledge then can evolve and fuel great falsehoods about who we are and endanger the manifestation of our ultimate goals / of our heart desires.
Take for example : The sales rep who, for reasons beyond his immediate control, finds himself with only a limited number of products as he enters a weekend expo. He believes strongly in the company he represents and the products he sells. This is his “dream job” and he is truly grateful for the opportunities he’s been given. He knows this weekend he must achieve $2000.00 in sales. Looking over what he has on hand for products he hopes (wishes) he’ll have enough to make it through the weekend. At the end of the weekend he adds up his totals and finds he only made $1200.00 in sales, but he DID have enough product to fill his display for the entire weekend! On his way back to the
office, disappointed, he questions whether his “dream job” isn’t just that—an unachievable dream.
Was this sales rep’s experience a coincidence? An occurrence of chance? Consider what may have happened if his wish was to meet his sales goals despite the limited amount of product he had on hand. If he had taken care in what he had wished for (intended) the laws of manifestation certainly would have yielded a different outcome. And today he would not be in a different position (not because he was fired, but because of his own guilt). He would not be miserable (his words), wondering what his future could have been.
When we have become familiar with the principles of manifestation and we find ourselves in moments of disappointment, it is difficult to disassociate ourselves from recognizing the responsibility we had in creating those outcomes. It is only for those who can accept these incidents as learning experiences along a greater path that promise and light will remain bright upon the future. The more we understand the art of manifesting, the quicker the results of our efforts will present. So, when we’ve been a little careless in our intentions we can take heart and know we can quickly change disappointing circumstances IF we remain mindful of those words that have been passed down through the ages, “Be careful of what you wish for!”
