Manifesting Your Heart's Desires
To all who I have met and had the privilege to chat with this past month I thank you for the
inspiration you’ve contributed to this month’s article.
During February there were many lively conversations about ‘choosing right actions’. Many had expressed how powerfully the concept of self-manifestation was resonating within them, yet there remained questions of how to choose which actions were ‘right’ to take with so many
potential options available. As discussions evolved it became more pronounced that embracing a new realization of personal potential does not immediately exclude what was held as truth up
until that moment. Despite our excitement to move forward with our new found knowledge, in the beginning it can be quite difficult to dismiss the voices that raise issue of contradiction.
For example: You may want to purchase a new car. You set your intention and attention to
acquiring that new car. You imagine how it will feel to drive it, what it will smell like, what route you will take to drive it home for the first time, you place a picture of your dream car on the
refrigerator, you may even go test drive the car at a local dealership, etc. You’re excited! Then late at night you start thinking about how much money you have available to buy the car, whether you’ll be approved for a loan, and on and on... You try to stop this thinking because you have embraced the idea that such thinking is counterproductive, but then you are bombarded by the thought that you ‘must do something’, it’s not possible that there is nothing for you to do beyond imagining that you now own this new car!
If you find yourself in such a state of being, try to stop your rambling thoughts for a moment, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Then remember why it is that you wanted that new car. Imagine again owning it now. Breathe life into that picture. Know what it would be like if it was yours right now. Know it from the perspective of all your senses. Now imagine it manifesting before your eyes. As you practice this return to the thoughts of what it is you want and can recognize the emotions associated with those thoughts, you will gain clarity of what actions are ‘right’ for you to take. This will happen because as you begin to expand upon your object / circumstance of want you will recognize greater details of what it is you want— a picture of how that desire will integrate into your whole life will begin to emerge - and it is within those details you will be able to identify what actions ‘feel right’ to take.
What seems to be most unsettling to many is that there is no grand list of what are the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ physical actions to take in any situation. It matters not if you feel good to declare your desire and then turn it over to the Universe, or if your neighbour feels better achieving the same want through actions we’ve come to view as familiar—such as acquiring a better paying job to make a desired purchase. It all comes down to a matter of our personal conclusions of what will be the most blissful outcome of manifestation complete.
Does this mean we ought not to allow the advise or opinions of others to influence us in what
actions we will choose? Not exactly. The process of manifesting our heart’s desires is indeed a very personal process, however, it is those encounters with others that allow us to gain clarity of what it is we do want. It is those encounters that can inspire us. There are great gifts awaiting us within each person we meet and/or become aware of. It is within those moments, if we remain attentive to our inner guidance system (our emotions), our truths and potentials are revealed. What we ought not do during our encounters is to judge ourselves against the words of others. We ought simply welcome the gifts of inspiration each person, each encounter, can lead us to.
Only we can determine what actions are ‘right’ for us to take. Quite simply, to discover what those may be we need to expand our attention to what it is we really want and the emotions we experience as we imagine having our want(s) manifest now complete.
Can it be so? Can it be that all we need to do to determine our ‘right action’ is to follow any urge that feels good? The answer is an undeniable YES!
If you find yourself still plagued by rising doubts of ‘right action’, bring your thoughts back to what it is you want. That is the greatest and most effective action we can take. Play inside your dreams. See just how that manifestation will impact the whole of your life. Seldom you will find that it is only one want that you possess. More often, one want / desire gives rise to another, and another, and another... It is within the collectiveness of these wants that we become aware of the elements of ’right action’ being presented to us. Pay attention to how each element of that picture you hold makes you feel. As you recognize how each thought, each element, makes you feel, you will have revealed all answers you seek.
Lastly, if you find yourself still questioning the power of manifesting your heart’s desires through maintaining a state of blissful thoughts and engaging in only that which brings you joy, consider this—When was the last time you experienced the manifestation of a desired outcome while engaged in an activity that was less than joyful?
With great expectation for All,
Sandy
